Almost 24 years clean from addiction and work in the sex industry, Ninakaye Taane-Tinorau has been moving audiences globally as both a captivating public speaker and skilled MC, Renowned as an activist and activator, adored as a mother and grandmother, Ninakaye’s passion lies in her sharing of insightful gems of courage, resilience and transformation from her colourful life's journey.
In her day job, Ninakaye is Managing Director of Tikidub Productions, which includes the management of major NZ artist and producer Tiki Taane (did we mention he's her brother?), and has just taken a break from two years working as a parttime therapist for men. An executive member of Maori Music Industry Collective, Soundcheck Aotearoa & Aotearoa Music Managers Forum (which she is also a mentor for), Ninakaye landed a feature role in incredible film “Ka Whawhai Tonu” in 2024.
Ninakaye is a dynamic thinker and versatile mover, and shares ancient Egyptian transformation practice when she can, via her Kemetic Yoga training. Her family awarded her the title of 'human Swiss Army knife', reflected in her extensive background of work across the Public Health, Event Management, Film / TV and Yoga & Fitness industries.
Ninakaye is of Ngati Maniapoto descent, is versed in Tikanga Maori, and conversational in Te Reo Maori.
