Matty Lovell is living proof that resilience can transform adversity into opportunity.
In 2011, he was at the forefront of the Christchurch earthquake response, spending eight gruelling hours at the collapsed PGC building, rescuing survivors from the rubble. Later that year, his life took another dramatic turn when an accident left him with two broken kneecaps and the crushing prognosis that he might never run again. Faced with immense physical and emotional challenges, Matty chose to rebuild his life with determination and an unrelenting drive to succeed.
Over the years, Matty has carved out a remarkable path as an entrepreneur, building, acquiring, and managing multiple award-winning businesses. His vision and leadership earned him recognition as a finalist in the Westpac Business Awards as an Emerging Leader. Today, he is the driving force behind O-Studio, a wellness franchising company that focuses on improving lives through innovative approaches to health and performance.
Matty’s passion for human potential extends beyond business. As the host of two thought-provoking podcasts, The O-Studio Podcast and The Road to Success, he explores the insights and stories of world-class performers, offering fresh perspectives on well-being, growth, and high performance.
From overcoming life-altering setbacks to embarking on a 3,000-kilometre rickshaw journey across India—raising $85,000 for charity along the way—Matty’s journey is a powerful example of turning obstacles into achievements.
