Think back to 1978 (if you can) that was the start of a career that has now spanned 33 years in the entertainment industry for Mark Hadlow! Marks diverse career spans over 130 plays, dozens of film appearances, multiple television series, commercials, and radio voice overs in the thousands.
Theatre was the propelling factor in Mark professional development. His passion for acting and entertaining is a major component of his appeal, and his ability to move from character to character, either comedic, or dramatic has seen him become a prominent and well-known actor throughout New Zealand. On stage, in television, film, corporate entertainment, radio, writing, or directing, this jack-of-all trades shows great ability to understand and deliver consistently good performances in whatever genre he is working in.
Current work
œTHE HOBBIT is the third Peter Jackson movie Mark has acted in. "Meet the Feebles" was the first portraying the voices of Heidi the Hippo and Robert the Hedgehog, also singing many of the songs from the film. King Kong saw him rehearsing and performing the role of Harry in the vaudeville scenes opposite Naomi Watts and Bill Johnson. He regards Peter Jackson productions as the most exhilarating experiences.
Many reviews, particularly in Theatre sight him as being a very funny and talented actor.
Mark is renowned for his singing voice and has appeared in many musicals and concerts, his all time favourite being Little Shop of Horrors.
Mark has also achieved success in directing many plays and musicals and continues to be gainfully employed devising and developing productions. In 2009 he was invited to direct the Opera œGianni Schicci for Southern Opera.

Mark has been nominated for and won several Awards, including Best Comedy in a Television series, playing the role of the challenged brother Harry in œWilly Nilly a three season top rating sitcom.
