John is the morning host on Newstalk ZB, in Christchurch.
Winner of nine national media awards and six national communications awards, he is a highly experienced broadcaster, journalist and public speaker.
He has co-hosted the annual Sparks summer concert in Christchurch’s Hagley Park, which attracts about 30,000 people. He has also been MC at smaller-scale music concerts, corporate client events, community engagement events and meetings.
John has broadcast on all of New Zealand’s news radio networks, as well as BBC Radio Five Live and Radio 4, in the UK.
His work has taken him to the Academy Awards in Los Angeles and to Fiji, where he covered the George Speight-led political coup.
As well as media and broadcasting, John has had more than a decade's experience in corporate communications.
