A household name on New Zealand’s airwaves, Jack Tame, has more than 15 years’ experience as a journalist and broadcaster on some of Aotearoa’s favourite current affairs shows.
Jack is currently the host of Q+A on TVNZ1 and Saturday Mornings on Newstalk ZB. He loves debating ideas, and is known for his refreshing perspectives and engaging presentation style. In 2022, he was awarded NZ’s Best Current Affairs Presenter.
His journalism career has taken him around the world and included five years as TVNZ’s U.S Correspondent, a role he began when he was just 24 years old. He has worked on stories from the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting to prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, covered the Rugby World Cup for CNN, and the Rio Olympics for TVNZ. For two and a half years he also co-hosted Breakfast with Hilary Barry.
Jack considers his life peaked when shared a bottle of red with Sir David Attenborough… in Antarctica.
