First picked for the Blues in 2002, Ali Williams made his debut for the All Blacks in the same year. He then become an invaluable member of the Blues and the All Blacks.
Previous experience
A lock that was happy to graft away doing the more traditional tasks associated with the role, Ali's attacking skills with the ball-in-hand were also a valuable component to his game. As well as Ali's traditional tight-five abilities, his all-round athleticism made him an effective lineout jumper, especially competing on the opposition's throw.
Ali is an All Blacks veteran and provided important leadership in the team.
Current Work
He studied business at AUT before rugby took over and is now in the commercial property sector.
